The road to another excellent adventure continues. Bill & Ted Face the Music has cast Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving as the daughters of the titular dudes. Lundy-Paine, who has appeared in The Glass Castle and Netflix’s Atypical, will play Billie Logan, daughter of Ted “Theodore” Logan (Keanu Reeves). Weaving, whose credits include Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, will take the role of Bill S. Preston Esquire’s (Alex Winter) daughter Thea. Based on those names, it appears the pair named their daughters after each other, which is perfect. Continue here

Alex Winter is a director, writer and actor. He entered show business as a child actor with co-starring roles on Broadway in The King & I and Peter Pan, and came to prominence in movies such as Warner Bros’ hit The Lost Boys and the wildly popular Bill and Ted franchise. Lately, he’s switched his attention to making documentary feature films. His latest, Trust Machine: The Story of Blockchain, makes its New Zealand premiere at the Doc Edge International Film Festival in Auckland and Wellington. Continue here

Excellent news, everyone! Bill & Ted Face the Music, the long-awaited third entry in the franchise fronted by Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, is finally set to begin filming this summer. We’ve been hearing about this project off and on for some time now, with official word coming down last year that the duo was set to reunite. Now, as the project is being sold to foreign distributors, things are looking more real than ever, with cameras expected to begin rolling in the very near future. Continue here
