The Grinder never settles, but he is willing to reunite with an old friend. Rob Lowe — who starred with Fred Savage in the short-lived, underappreciated 2015-2016 comedy The Grinder — will team up with his former castmate on Fox again for an episode of Savage’s summer series, What Just Happened??!, EW has learned. The aftershow phenomenon has taken a new twist. Fox has greenlighted What Just Happened??! with Fred Savage, an actual aftershow to a fake TV show, co-created and hosted by former The Grinder star Savage. Teased on Fox’s social pages, The Flare is a fictional sci-fi thriller drama with a very-real aftershow. What Just Happened??! is a half-hour hybrid comedy/talk show dedicated to exploring the fandom surrounding the “show.” It’s set to premiere Sunday, June 30 at 9:30 PM on Fox. Read More here

Here’s how Fred Savage evolved from child star to directing It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and other great shows. Savage began his acting career with parts on shows like The Twilight Zone and famously appeared in the wraparound story for The Princess Bride with Peter Falk. Of course, Savage is best remembered for his starring role in TV series The Wonder Years, which charted the childhood of a boy named Kevin; Daniel Stern also provided the voice for adult Kevin, who narrated the show. Members of The Wonder Years cast have reunited 26 years after the series finale in a new photo. The successful ABC series ran from 1988-1993 and has gained something of a cult status among its fans, who watched child stars Fred Savage, Josh Saviano and Danica McKellar grow up as their fictional TV personas of Kevin Arnold, Paul Pfeiffer and Winnie Cooper. Friends from College is a show about bad people. That’s not me throwing shade at the show; the cast’s cringeworthy behavior is part of the premise of the show–and it’s also based in truth! Certain friendships have a way of pulling us back to who we were way back when, as decades of growth say “see ya later.” The difference is that in Friends from College, all these people bring out the worst in each other, be it cheating or slacking off at work or putting too many controlled substances in one’s body.
