Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the duo behind AMC’s “Preacher,” are bringing another comic series to the small screen with “The Boys,” based on the comics by Garth Ennis (“Preacher”) and Darick Robertson. Rogen and Goldberg will be directing the pilot, written by Eric Kripke, which will premiere in 2019. Out of the ongoing New York Comic Con, Amazon shared the perfect teaser – a scene with Elisabeth Shue explaning their superhero coalition, Vought, with the camera pulling back to reveal “the boys”, all of who offer up the middle finger. Amazon’s The Boys went big this weekend at New York Comic Con, with their inaugural panel and some big reveals – including a new clip and poster of ‘The Seven’. The Boys is an adaptation of the Garth Ennis comic of the same name, and much like Preacher, it’s dark, violent, funny, and extremely adult in nature. The Boys also comes from some of the same creative team that adapted Preacher for the small screen (Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg), and it looks like it is going to be even more shocking.
