New York Comic Con 2015 hosted a reunion for six of the seven voice actors from the iconic Justice League animated series, plus legendary voice director Andrea Romano. On Friday afternoon on the Empire Stage, moderator Shaun Lynch brought Ms. Romano together with Carl Lumbly (J’onn J’onzz), Phil LaMarr (Green Lantern), Maria Canals-Barrera (Hawkgirl), George Newbern (Superman), Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman), and Kevin Conroy (Batman). Unfortunately, Michael Rosenbaum was not able to attend (Ms. Romano thought that it was either his high school reunion or his birthday). Phil LaMarr certainly dressed for the occasion Read More: // here

The Adventure Continues: A Justice League Reunion Event
All due respect to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot have their work cut out for them if they want to be recognized as the definitive on-screen version of DC’s Justice League. For now, that title goes to the animated League, which aired on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2006, first as the six-hero Justice League before evolving into the giant-sized Justice League Unlimited. It was the culmination of the DC Animated Universe that began with Batman: The Animated Series and remains one of the best superhero cartoons ever. Now, the League’s core members — Batman (Kevin Conroy), Wonder Woman (Susan Eisenberg), Superman (George Newbern), Green Lantern (Phil LaMarr), Hawkgirl (Maria Canals-Barrera), and Martian Manhunter (Carl Lumbly) — join forces again, alongside the show’s voice director, Andrea Romano. Better still, they’ll be performing a classic script from their Justice League run. Batfleck had better be taking notes. (Oct. 9, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Empire Stage 1-E) Read More: // here

While some of us are still recovering from San Diego Comic-Con, its little brother, New York Comic Con, looms less than two months away. As the October 8th to 11th dates approach, announcements are starting to be made about just what fans are going to get to experience on the show floor and in the panel rooms. Information is still scarce, but in addition to statements about Humberto Ramos from Amazing Spider-Man, and Art Baltazar and Franco from Itty Bitty Hellboy, NYCC wants the world to know that the cast and crew of the Justice League animated series will be reuniting once again at the convention. Including the likes of Kevin Conroy (Batman), Carl Lumbly (Martian Manhunter), Phil Lamaar (Green Lantern), Susan Esienberg (Wonder Woman), Maria Canals-Barrera (Hawkgirl), and George Newbern (Superman), the panel promises to be a collection of familiar voices and talent. While this particular cast is most well associated with the Justice League series that ran from 2001 to 2004 on Cartoon Network, many of them have reprised their roles in subsequent DC animated works, such as Justice League Doom. New York Comic Con will be at Javits Center in New York City, New York October 8th through 11th. Read More: // here
