As a young girl who wants nothing more than to fit in, Judy (Mckenna Grace) struggles with how different her parents’ work makes her seem. But those struggles get a lot more life-threatening when they bring a creepy, possessed doll home to join the rest of their cursed artifacts.

When James Wan and New Line Cinema debut The Conjuring in the summer of 2013, they fundamentally changed the contemporary landscape of horror filmmaking. The film wasn’t just a swing back towards big-budget, R-rated studio horror, it kicked off one of the highest-grossing horror franchises of all time, introducing audiences to Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Not to mention the terrifying residents of their haunted artifact room, foremost among them, the demonic doll Annabelle.

Annabelle Comes Home is the third installment of the hugely successful Annabelle films, starring the infamous sinister doll from The Conjuring universe, and this one tells the story of what happened when demonologists Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) brought it home to place it behind sacred and blessed glass in the locked artifacts room in their home. Last weekend the trailer for Annabelle Comes Home dropped, the seventh instalment in the The Conjuring Universe, the spookiest and most jump-scare-tastic franchise to grace the modern horror scene. Seven films and countless sleepless nights later, The Conjuring Universe continues to add numerous layers to a paranormal tale which started with horror veteran James Wan’s (Insidious, Saw) 2013 release The Conjuring. No other modern horror franchise has really had the opportunity to grow and expand as widely as The Conjuring has. The seeds to several sub-stories were sown from the first film, and each has developed the wider storyline. Read more here

Late yesterday afternoon, The Conjuring Universe mastermind James Wan shared an uber-creepy “first look” at key art for Annabelle Comes Home, the third spinoff to feature the diminutive devil doll! We see the smiling vessel of evil in her glass box through a cluttered shelf that houses many of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s other cursed objects. Read More here
