We already knew that a third Conjuring spin-off featuring the demonic doll Annabelle was in the works. Thanks to producer James Wan and writer/director Gary Dauberman, we now know more about what it’ll entail. Unlike the first Annabelle sequel, which went further back in time to explore the doll’s early days, the new one finds the Warrens (Patrick Wilson’s Ed and Vera Farmiga’s Lorraine) locking the terrifying toy away in their house, where she supposedly can’t cause further havoc. At least, that’s the plan… Read More here

The first poster for Aquaman has finally arrived. The one-sheet shows Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry/Aquaman in his element (that is, underwater). Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as the titular hero, with the actor reprising his role from Justice League. The film also stars Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Read More here

While we wait for the first trailer for Aquaman to be released during Comic-Con next week, here’s our first look at Djimon Hounsou’s character in the film, The Fisherman King, who is one of the seven Kings of Atlantis. I’ve gotta say, that a pretty badass character design! The seven Kings of Atlantis meet with Orm (Patrick Wilson) in the story when he shares his proposal to declare war on the surface world. That’s at least how one producer believes Aquaman is shaping up and it’s easy to see why. They’ve allotted Furious 7 director James Wan creative freedom to flesh out Jason Momoa’s rocker version of Arthur Curry in the character’s solo film. He was a scene-stealer in Justice League after all. Read More here

Thanos would give a thumbs up to Aquaman antagonist King Orm. Patrick Wilson, who plays Arthur Curry’s regal Atlantean half-brother in the upcoming DC film, gave EW some intriguing insight on the character. “He’s kind of an eco-warrior,” Wilson says. “He’s got a very clear gripe with the surface world, which has been polluting his oceans for centuries. And that’s something for me — I’m sure for you too — that’s very easy to understand. If somebody was just constantly polluting our air and ruining how we lived…” Read More here

It’s an all-out tidal wave of Aquaman news today (see what I did there?) with EW releasing a wide variety of information and first look photos from DC’s next blockbuster. After receiving the first glimpse of Yahya Abdul-Mateen’s Black Manta earlier this morning, the trade has just pulled back the curtain on the film’s true villain, the Ocean Master known as Orm, played by Patrick Wilson.
