Avengers: Endgame serves as the final outing of Tony Stark in the MCU, and seeing his eleven-year arc come to a close was a bittersweet experience for many fans. In fact, according to co-director Anthony Russo, even Robert Downey Jr. himself had mixed emotions about how his story concluded. If you’ve seen Endgame already (and if not, then be warned that spoilers lie ahead), then you’ll know that Tony Stark’s journey concludes with the hero sacrificing his life to save the universe. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony Russo recalled pitching this ending to Downey to check that he was comfortable with it: Continue here

No one was more impressed with Chris Hemsworth’s performance in Avengers: Endgame than Robert Downey Jr. Chris, 35, returned to the Marvel franchise as his beloved character Thor but he looked noticeably different thanks to the Asgardian god of thunder in exile. Continue here

Almost every MCU hero got their moment in Avengers: Endgame, but with the possible exception of Captain America, the main player in the ensemble epic was undoubtedly Iron Man. And now that Robert Downey Jr. looks to have hung up the suit once and for all, many fans are arguing that it’s time for the star to get some Academy recognition for bringing Tony Stark to the big screen. Mill Creek Entertainment Aug. 13 will release four more Blu-ray Disc titles in its Retro VHS collection: Roxanne, The New Kids, True Believer and White Line Fever.

In the courtroom drama True Believer (1989), James Woods goes up against corruption and conspiracy at the highest levels of New York City law enforcement. Woods is Eddie Dodd, once an acclaimed civil rights attorney of the 1960s, but now an embittered cynic who makes a living defending drug-dealing low-lifes. Dodd’s passion for justice is rekindled when an idealistic young associate (Robert Downey Jr.) urges him to re-open an eight-year-old murder case involving a young prisoner serving life in Sing Sing for a gang initiation killing.

In a post-Avengers: Endgame world, Jon Favreau’s first project sees the filmmaker return to the kitchen for Netflix’s The Chef Show. Spinning out of his 2014 film Chef, Favreau joins long-time collaborate Roy Choi for cooking series that will end up featuring some familiar faces for fans of genre entertainment. Robert Downey Jr., Ming-Na Wen, and Hans Zimmer are among the 11 people this year who have been named legends. Disney Legends. A title bestowed upon the best and brightest stars at the Walt Disney Company, and their various subsidiaries like Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and Pixar, Disney Legend is one of the coolest honors that an actor or creative could receive. See who is among the new 2019 Disney Legends below.

The honoring of Downey Jr. comes at a fitting time. The actor just wrapped up a decade-defining role as Tony Stark, a.k.a Iron Man, in Avengers: Endgame, which was as much a swan song to his character that launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it was an end of an era. Giving Downey Jr. the title of Disney Legend just solidifies his legacy that is already being celebrated by fans. Iron Man director Jon Favreau deservedly joins his star in launching the MCU with a Disney Legend title himself. D23 will be held in Anaheim, California on August 23-25, 2019.

It’s been three weeks since Avengers: Endgame finally arrived in theaters, and conversation about the blockbuster is showing no signs of slowing down.
